Managing Committee Resolution on the Call for Vacancies, July 04, 2021

A General Body meeting of Aequitas Victoria Foundation was held under the Presidentship of Smt. Pranati Boruah, President on 04/07/2021.

In the meeting the following resolutions were adopted:

1. The issues that were faced during the publication process of Rupantar- the Destiny for Revolution Volume 2 Issue 2 were discussed in detail and as agreed by Dr. Md. Sultan Haider Alam, Chief Editor, and Dr. Dhrubajyoti Das, Executive Editor of the said magazine, the following resolutions were accepted: All the interviewees shall be requested to provide express consent for publication; Rules shall be finalized and made clear to them regarding the publication of their statements and opinions; sufficient time of 10-15 days shall be provided to them to review the written draft of the interviews, provided the time permits; and once their consent is expressed, evidence are recorded, no objections whatsoever shall be entertained after the date provided to them for making objections and their contents shall be published at the discretion of the Editorial Board and neither the Publisher nor the Board of Editors shall be made liable for any wrong information provided by the interviewees during their interview which has been subsequently published.

2. A Resolution for establishing a new journal titled “Annual International Journal on IPR and Corporate Laws” as a joint initiative of Aequitas Victoria Foundation, Nowgong Law College and Dr. R.K.B. Law College was adopted and the Managing Committee also decided to initiate a Memorandum of Union with the above-mentioned institutions on this behalf.

3. Resolution was also adopted for creating two posts for Executive Editors in all the Journals to be published by Aequitas Victoria Foundation, who shall be vested with all the Executive Powers of their respective Journals, and who shall be assigned such designation by the Managing Committee based on majority approval.

4. A Resolution for publishing Call for Vacancies was also adopted so that new members can be appointed for a term of minimum one year to support the NGO in achieving its objectives.
