AV Research Centre for International and Comparative Law & Policy
(AVRC-ICLP)
The AV Research Centre for International & Comparative Law & Policy (AVRC-ICLP) is a specialized research centre established under the Aequitas Victoria Research Centre (AVRC), an initiative of the Aequitas Victoria Foundation. The Centre is dedicated to advancing scholarship, policy research, and academic engagement in the fields of International Law, Comparative Law, and Public Policy.
In an increasingly interconnected world, legal systems are no longer confined within national boundaries. International law plays a critical role in regulating relations among states, international organizations, businesses, and individuals, while comparative law facilitates the study and understanding of diverse legal systems and traditions across jurisdictions. By examining legal developments from a global and comparative perspective, the Centre seeks to contribute to informed legal reforms, effective policymaking, and the promotion of justice, human rights, and the rule of law.
The Centre serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to engage in interdisciplinary research and dialogue on contemporary legal and policy challenges. Through research projects, publications, conferences, policy briefs, training programmes, and international collaborations, AVRC-ICLP aims to foster innovative legal scholarship and generate knowledge that addresses emerging global issues and contributes to sustainable and equitable governance.
